About SnapConv
SnapConv is a free file toolkit for the small jobs that should not require a signup, an installer, or trusting a stranger’s server with your documents.
What it is for
Convert an image, shrink a photo, merge or split a PDF, or turn scanned pages into pictures — the operations people reach for most often. Drop a file, see what can be done with it, run the work, and download the result.
Why it is free
There is no paid tier, credit system, quota, watermark, or account. SnapConv does not pay for conversion servers because it does not use any: your browser already ships with capable image, PDF, and text-processing primitives.
How privacy works
Files stay in memory on your device. SnapConv does not upload them, does not store them, and does not keep a copy after you close the tab. The product has no login and no file history in the cloud — read the privacy notes for the details.
Why it runs in the browser
Modern browsers expose hardware-accelerated image codecs, Web Crypto, streaming ZIP creation, and PDF parsing and rendering. Building on those capabilities keeps SnapConv fast to open, private by construction, and free to operate.
